Weddings are an emotional event. Two family come together to make one, large family. Fathers entrust Husbands with their Daughters. I enjoy the outpouring of emotions between family and friends. This wedding was filled to the brim with it in the best way possible!
Gina’s smile lights up a room and her laughter is contagious. It was easy to see that she truly soaked up every moment of her wedding day. Every last detail was set and she made it a point to have fun all day!
One of my favorite moments came as a complete surprise. We had planned to do a first look for her father prior to the ceremony. While Gina was getting ready outside her father couldn’t help himself and came to see her while she was putting her dress on! Gina burst into tears when she saw her Dad and the moment couldn’t have been more perfect! The genuine love that poured out of them was incredibly touching.
Tommy and Gina’s ceremony was special for Garret and I as a couple. Just seven months ago we exchanged vows there ourselves. It brought back such amazing feeling and really added to the day for us. When Gina and Tommy came face to face at the alter neither could wipe the smiles from their faces. Tears of happiness fell throughout the venue.
Those tears continued straight into the reception during the father/daughter dance. Gina’s mother and sister stood together with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much love between a family before. It was a moving moment.
At the end of the day many tears had been shed, laughter filled the room and everyone joined in the celebration.
