The first time I spoke to Nikki on the phone I loved the way she told stories, like the story of how Drew proposed. Nikki told us how her parents have a pumpkin carving contest every year, and this year Drew was taking it very seriously, he had to have the perfect pumpkin. When they arrived back to her parents house Drew went into huge detail on his pumpkin and wouldn’t let Nikki see it, I remember Nikki telling me that she had so much homework to do that day, and she just wanted to hurry up, carve the pumpkins and go back home. Turns out, Drew carved “Will you marry me?” in his pumpkin. How sweet is that? I totally love when couples incorporate themselves into their proposal, and make it something to remember forever.
We had so much fun photographing Drew & Nikki for their engagement session last weekend, the aspens were just starting to change colors, and it was the perfect fall day. We are so excited for their wedding next June!
