Kate and Mike were married with a ceremony and reception at Granby Ranch. It’s the perfect spot for a mountain wedding. The ceremony spot looked out over the Continental Divide, and it was the ideal backdrop for this adventurous couple. We loved this Granby Ranch Wedding.
Their dog, Catfish, was a part of their wedding. I love that Kate and Mike let him roam around the mountain top while they exchanged their vows.
They each had personalized journals with their initials, where they wrote their vows, and they would exchange to continue writing together. I always love when couples put a personal touch on their ceremony, and writing their own vows is definitely one of my favorite ways to do that.
Kate’s wedding ring originally belonged to her grandmother, and she also wore her grandmother’s garter under her dress. Grandma actually asked if she could wear the ring at one point during the reception and gazed at it, and she just couldn’t stop smiling because of what it represented.
