Few backdrops compare to that of the base of a mountain for a wedding. Stephanie and Jared couldn’t have chosen a more picturesque location for their special day.
Women seem to be more inclined to show their emotions which is why I find it so sweet when a groom surprises their soon to be wife with a private note prior to their ceremony. Watching Stephanie’s face glow as she read the note seemed to raise the anticipation for the exchange of vows.
Stephanie chose to do something very unique by having a ‘first look’ with her Dad. A lot of brides choose to do a ‘first look’ in order to allow additional time for pictures before the ceremony but this had much more meaning. Being a mother, I couldn’t help but appreciate the intimate moment between father and daughter on her wedding day. It was a very tender and sweet exchange that was packed with love.
As the unpredictable Colorado weather makes its presence known with thunder clapping in the distance the rain held off until their first kiss as husband and wife. A little luck was on their side!
Picture time with the bridal party was one of those you just don’t forget as a photographer. The bridesmaid’s subtle pink dresses complemented the softness of Stephanie’s making for a whimsical photo shoot. When you have a bridal party who enjoys having a good time the pictures come out that much better. We laughed together, walked among the beautiful trees and only harmed a few bottles of champagne in the process!
The night began and ended with a bang just as you would want. The love between Stephanie and Jared filled the room and excited their guests. I am thankfully they chose me to be their wedding photographer and to share in their special day. We wish them all the best in the future!
