Spring time in Colorado usually means cloudless skies and beautiful weather. Much to our surprise we had light afternoon showers, but you know what they say, rain on your wedding day is good luck 🙂 I have known Major since I was 13. We went to a small church together up in the foothills. When Major asked me to photograph their wedding I was thrilled to say the least. I love photographing friends weddings because it is so much more personal for me. I feel like I am truly able to get inside the day.

Their wedding day was absolutely perfect. It took place at one of the most gorgeous places I have ever shot a wedding at, Major’s parents house. The ceremony spot over looked Pikes Peak. It was absolutely perfect. I loved it, we had so many amazing places to wonder off to to take their formals.

I got word today that they got some exciting news 🙂 They are expecting. Congratulation to Major and Kalyn on both your marriage and your pregnancy! I wish you both a life full of love and happiness.

Love the simplicity of her dress.

Kalyn made such a beautiful bride

Kalyn’s brother Kyle patiently awaiting his sister to make her grand entrance

Loved these centerpieces with the beta fish swimming around

I just got my new macro lens, needless to say, I had a little too much fun with their rings 🙂

First kiss as husband and wife. This location was to die for!

Love the mountain feel of their formals! Perfect

The garter toss 🙂

This lady was getting down throughout the reception, so nice to see people getting out on the dance floor and having fun.
