We had the pleasure of photographing Michelle & JC’s wedding day at Raccoon Creek Golf Course this past September. It was seriously a beautiful day full of emotions. I’m not going to lie to you all, I may have wiped a tear off my face a few times during the ceremony. I was absolutely in love with all the rustic details for their wedding, most which were hand crafted by Michelle. Their love for each other is absolutely transparent.

Here’s a little something Michelle wrote about their day. “Well the wedding day was picture perfect. The weather couldn’t have been any better, our closest loved ones came from all over to be with us and we both felt calmer than we had in weeks.  I’ll never forget when my brother-in-law and nephew were the only ones late (the person walking me down the aisle and the ring bearer, respectively) and still had to get changed once they got to the golf course. Needless to say I was less than pleased.  Once they got there my brother-in-law was in such a rush, changed and then ran into where us girls were waiting for him yelling “This vest is WAYY too small!” We all burst out laughing when we realized he had his 3 year old son’s vest on. It definitely lightened my mood and was the perfect way to calm me down before the ceremony. Haha

A few other things we’ll never forget are the AMAZING sunset (which we almost missed a picture with!), how meaningful our ceremony was because JC’s father performed it and seeing each other for the first time as I walked up the aisle.  We had decided not to see each other prior to the ceremony and what a wonderful decision that was!

But I know that the one thing that meant the most to me was when JC surprised me with saying half of his vows in Polish.  I had no idea that he had been working with my sister to get those just right and it floored not only me but the rest of my Polish speaking family who had no idea either! There wasn’t a dry eye out there. :)”

xoxo,

I have to say I absolutely love the exchanging of gifts on the wedding day 🙂

How cute are those Mason Jars?

These guys were a riot.

Her dress was stunning, one of my favorites from the season.

Michelle also made those cute little guys on top of the cake.

There is always something about when the groom sees his bride for the first time, that absolutely melts my heart.
