Bella Vista Estate Wedding in Steamboat Springs Colorado
Brooke & Ian’s September 2019 Bella Vista Estate wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colorado was one for the books and the perfect Colorado mountain wedding. Brooke & Ian are the epitome of playful and adventurous, and they often remind us to really slow down and enjoy the simplicity of everyday moments.
They brought in so much of who they are into their wedding and got married in a location that has so much meaning to them as a couple (I mean they even decided to name their new pup Yampa!)
Crossfit is something that Brooke & Ian are both so passionate about and they knew it was something they wanted to do the morning of their wedding. Ian and his guys went down to Crossfit steamboat to get a pre-wedding lift in. Ian put the guys through a grueling workout, and many of them even hit some PR’s that day! They ended their morning by baptizing Ian in the FREEZING yampa river.
The ladies got ready in the main house at Bella Vista Estate Wedding Venue with their favorite music blaring, and their favorite cereal stocked and ready to go! Kathy, Brooke’s mom wanted to recreate an image she had taken with her own mother all those years ago.
I really love it when our brides decide to get dressed outdoors and with only a handful of people, I believe it allows them to really enjoy that moment and for those closest to them to feel special. And can we talk about those gorgeous emerald green velvet bridesmaid’s dresses for a moment? They are literally my favorite.
Their ceremony had both Garrett and I in tears, we have never (in over 200 weddings) seen anything quite like it. Ian’s sister officiated their ceremony and began by guiding B&I and their guests through a guided meditation, it was a beautiful moment that allowed their guests to really think about and be present in that moment.
Ian’s family then did a family tradition of singing “hallelujah.”
Also, can we take a second to admire their reception? Brynn with First Look Events and Casey with La Rue Floral absolutely crushed this ombre’ color palette!
The reception was absolutely insane. I’ve never seen a dancefloor packed quite like this, and it was the best kind of send-off into the year we are currently having (ie. no dancing, thanks COVID.)
These two are still dear friends of ours, and I cannot wait to see where this beautiful journey takes them.
