Jessica contacted me on a freezing cold day in April asking if I would want to be her wedding photographer for her destination wedding at a beautiful tropical location, umm yeah. I was so excited, how could anyone say no to such a question? I immediately said yes, and Matt booked my flight just days after 🙂 It was long awaited (not that long, but I was overly excited.) They decided on Punta Cana, Dominican Republic as their destination. It was absolutely breathtaking. Everytime I would walk out of my room I needed a minute to just take in the gorgeous surroundings.

Here is her story of how they met and their lives together 🙂 Sooo cute! “I was traveling the country by myself and I was currently Denver, Colorado. I took on a waitressing job for the time being. The very first time we met I actually served him and he told me he was going to be working with me soon. The first shift we worked together he asked me out. I had other plans and said no but he was persistant. Finally I broke my plans to go out with him. We met for a few drinks at Rock Bottom, I showed up late (unkowingly previewing to him what he was in for, for the rest of his life.) After that we drove around and I told him to stop at a water fountain. We jumped out and danced in the fountain. That was our “first date.” After that we slowly started going on more dates until he asked me out. I actually said no, for I was at a point in my life I had no interest in being in a commited relationship. I was at the time, trying to travel the country and didnt want anyone to show me to the way. After I turned him down, I regretted my decision. He made me so happy and I didn’t want to move on with my life and lose him. I told him a few days later I wanted to date him. We had a blast together. He made me laugh harder than anyone ever has. The news of our new addition arrived 6 months after that. When Jacob was born, Matt sacrificed his life in Colorado moved with me near my famliy in Buffalo, NY. I won’t say it was easy, it was acutually the hardest thing I have ever been through. Through everything, Matt had showed me what an amazing selfless man he is. Now that we are married, we are currently working on degrees to be school teachers, and hope to have more children soon. We have been through so much, and learned so much together. I am so blessed to have him, he is the best partner and father anyone could ask for. I look forward to our life adventure together : )”

Now, here are some images from their absolutely gorgeous wedding. I don’t think they could have picked a better location for their wedding, and I am so honored that they choose me to be their photographer.

And if you know anything about me, you know how much I LOVE details, and this wedding was full of them!

The resort had a bubble bath and this adorable heart waiting for them 🙂
