Yi & Li | Piney River Ranch Wedding

I knew right from the beginning that we were the photographer for this couple. We bonded over stories of our pup’s as well as Yi’s love for photos.

It’s couples like Yi and LI who remind me of just how small the world truly is. This couple grew up a few miles apart in Taiwan but didn’t actually cross paths until many years later while going to college in Texas. If that isn’t a story of fate, I don’t know what is.

Colorado is a popular destination for Texas couples looking to add to the beauty of their wedding day. Piney River Ranch always rises to that challenge with spectacular views and lush greenery. It was a perfect backdrop to Yi’s sophisticated and classic style.

Yi and LI chose to share this day with just 30 of their closest friends and family making it a very intimate event. After the ceremony Yi changed into her traditional Taiwanese wedding dress which was the perfect way to tie in their native culture. Making the evening more light-hearted, both the bride and the groom wore matching Nike’s during their reception.

The newly married couple showed just how fun they are when I asked them to dance so that I could capture that moment. While I was picturing a slow dance they both burst into ‘Gangnam Style.’ I love when my couples surprise me!
