It’s times like Morgan & Anthony’s Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding when we get to feel so grateful for the community we’ve built here in Colorado. Morgan & Anthony were a referral from some of our favorite humans from last year, Becca & Ryan. We connected with Morgan & Anthony immediately. Showing up that morning felt like we had known them forever, it was effortless because we had all been intentional about getting to know each other beforehand.

Wedding days, have us feeling at an all-time high. We get to witness these beautiful stories that have been told for the past 90+ years. The generations, the connections, the emotions, and the stories are why we are Colorado Wedding Photographers. We live for the stories. Morgan’s moments with her nana were some of my favorites from the year. Their love for one another spoke to who their family is as a whole. While the girls were getting ready, Garrett was with the boys upstairs in the Jager House playing cards and getting a custom shave, and both of their dads got in on all the fun.

Their ceremony had not a single dry eye in the house. Such a beautifully heartfelt and personal ceremony that included a thank you to their moms and families. For us, the way people handle mishaps on wedding days truly shows who they are as people. As Morgan’s dad was heading back to his seat after walking Morgan down the aisle he stepped on her veil, which caused it to rip. Morgan’s reaction was “it’s okay dad, I love you.” It’s not the things, but the people that matter these days.

I always love watching the interactions with family and friends during the reception, and it usually leaves me very tearful seeing the relationships that have manifested over the years.

For an October in Colorado, you never really know what kind of weather you are going to get. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate these two and their future together.
