Kristen & Dan’s Camping Adventure Engagement Session was one of my favorites of 2018. Kristen and Dan met playing flag football and were introduced by a mutual friend on the team. They dated for about six years, two of them long distance, before Dan proposed in Washington D.C. at the National Arboretum. Their Adventure Session was extremely fun which I think defines them as a couple. They’re fun to be around and their love for each other is very evident.
During an Adventure Session, it’s important to me that there is a story for the couple on how they spend time together. Rather than just picking an activity they like do together. For Kristen and Dan’s adventure session in Sedalia, we thought camping in the snow would be a great story since one of their favorite activities to do together is to go camping all year round.
One of my favorite part of Kristen and Dan’s adventure session was Dan testing out their hammock and then subsequently falling out of the hammock. He was not injured in the process but it was hilarious. (Garrett and I teased him about it when we had them over for dinner before their wedding. Check out the last picture in the post.) At the end of their session, Kristen and Dan decided that whoever lost the card game would have to do some sort of dare. Unfortunately for her, Kristen lost and Dan dared her to eat snow without looking. It was dark so she didn’t even get to examine the snow before picking it. Check out their wedding here.
